Phonak & Unitron hearing aid SDS 5.0 Power Power RIC Receiver Wire - size 2, right ear
This right SDS 5.0 receiver wire has a red panel on the housing, a white rectangle (which is to indicate that a Cerustop wax filter is fitted) and 2P labelling shows 2=size and P=power power.
The SDS 5.0 RIC Receiver Wires, which use Cerustop wax guards, were introduced in response to customer feedback about problems with handling SDS 4.0 Receiver Wire Cerushield Wax Guards. There is no audiological difference between the SDS 4.0 & SDS 5.0 and they use the same domes, so it is your choice which you use but remember that you will need to purchase Cerustop wax guards for use with SDS 5.0.
Unlike with SDS 4.0 receivers the SDS 5.0 do not include any domes.
How do I identify which Phonak / Unitron RIC receiver wire I
have?
A Phonak / Unitron SDS 5.0 RIC power
receiver has a white rectangle on a coloured rectangle (see image),
blue for left and red for right and a 3 pin connector. The length
or size is shown by a number (0, 1, 2 or 3) and the power by a
letter - S for standard, M for medium and P for power e.g.
2P.
