Description
This Bellman Visit home/flat intercom wireless alerting bundle
is an ideal alerting solution for anyone who struggles to hear
their existing doorbell or intercom system. It connects into your
existing set-up, making it a great choice for anyone who does not
want to replace an existing doorbell at home.
The Visit door transmitter (BE1411) works by recognising an existing doorbell (or intercom) sound and signalling the Visit pager receiver. It works with the majority of doorbells and intercoms by default and you can also programme the transmitter to identify virtually any doorbell sound.
When the doorbell sounds, the Bellman door transmitter is
activated and it signals the Visit pager receiver. You will then be
notified via LED lights and vibrations.
The Visit Pager Kit includes a charger for your pager as well as a vibrating bed shaker so you can still receive alerts at night (44BEK01).
In the opinion of our evaluation panel, this package is an easy way to make an existing system more accessible for a deaf person at home. The clever door transmitter can be trained to hear your particular doorbell/intercom sound and will trigger the portable pager. At night, the vibrating bed shaker is a very effective way of waking you if the doorbell/intercom goes off. It is easy to program however you do need to be in a quiet environment. You can record two sounds so it is possible to use this with both a doorbell and an intercom however if you're doing this, unless they're right next to each other, we'd recommend also purchasing an external microphone (see Associated items) to get the best results.
The pager alert can run on a single AAA alkaline battery for up to three weeks and because it is robust and lightweight, it can be neatly attached to your belt or be tucked away in your pocket. This means you can receive a doorbell or intercom alert wherever you are within the home, whether you're in the garden, the kitchen, the lounge etc.
The Bellman Visit range is ideal for anyone who is deaf or hard
of hearing as it provides alerts via lights, sounds and vibrations,
so you can immediately be notified whenever something happens that
needs your attention in and around your home.
